A poetical essay composed by the vast repertory of sounds, gestures, words and objects that represent the symbolic universe of a group of beggars in the city of São Paulo.
Descontextualized from the streets where they live, they will act, alongside two actors, in imaginary situations that evoke a commom sense of wandering all of us what remains of more archaic or primitive interaction with the world and its spaces. Far from claim any ownership "sociological" the pauper´s problems, the film is based on a poetic narrative to create free associations of images that dialogue with the sensitive and psychic territory os these characters as recurrent when looking cities, but always obscurely and enigmatic.
Eliane Caffé graduated in Psychology at PUC - Sao Paulo and got her master's degree at the Art Theory Aesthetical Institute at Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, in Spain. She began her career as a filmmaker with the awarded short-films O Nariz (1987), Arabesco (1990) and Caligrama (1995). Her first feature Kenoma (1998) got international recognition after beings shown and awarded in important film festivals abroad. The same happened to Narradores de Javé (2002) and O Sol do Meio Dia (2009). Caffé worked for television making miniseries and experimental documentaries, besides coordinating collective filmmaking projects in many comunities around the countryside of Brazil. She is currently preparing to shoot the fiction Um Passo Para Ir and is finishing up the script fot the feature Calipo Sonha?.
