In a Brazilian coastal village where everything seems motionless, Clarisse grasps her life in a single day, unlike those she meets and who are living this day like any other. She tries to understand her obscure reality and the destiny of the people around her in a circular time that haunts and disorients.
Eduardo Nunes was born in Niterói, Brazil, and studied at UFF Film School (Rio de Janeiro). Between 1994 and 2001 he directed 5 shorts, which won over 40 awards and were shown in major festivals, including Berlin, Havana, Clermont-Ferrand and Rotterdam. Southwest is his first feature film as a director.
